Introducing the KCM Tritone and Beats

KCM does not have a notion of consonnance or dissonance.

Instead, it has the concept of tritone and beats.

These are both dissonant by any definition but we wish to use more neutral language to describe theiry role within the KCM music framework.  Thus the tritone or beats are not good or bad but just different from all the rest of the “consonant” notes.

We will see that the tritone plays a universal role in music serving a a glue to hold everything together.

We will see that beats are not confined to playing two notes a half step apart simultanously, nor to the concept of the “flat nine”, etc.  Rather, we will present the psychoaccoutical origins of beats and show how manifest themselves in a musical system.

Express difference between two
Show how TT is less sensitive to octaves than Beats (beats stronger at lower freq)
Discuss 6h, 18h, and 30h tritones as not beats
Discuss m2, b9, and b16 half-steps as beats
Extend beats to m3 and M3
Discuss role of frequency on TT and HS
