Spectral Decomposition: how the cochlea processes sounds

Understanding how the ear processes sound is obviously important to sound and music.  Here, we will break up sound into three stages: outer, middle, and inner ear and discuss how sound is processed in all stages.  The inner ear and the cochlea are of particular importance for taht is where the frequency is decomposed and processed and we “hear”.
